March 10, 2012 - Four JIBC Fire & Safety graduates contribute to El Salvador's fire service.
The students are sponsored through the One World International Scholarship funded by the Irving K. Barber Scholarship Society and the JIBC Foundation. Each year, the One World Scholarship enables four students to deploy with FWB on their annual three-week trip to Central America, where they assist in training fellow local firefighters while learning how fire services operate in a developing country. watch video Read the blog
March 10, 2012 - Rotary International and Firefighters without borders deliver fire truck to Cebu
Firefighters Without Borders Canada (www. fwbcanada.ca) is a registered charity in Vancouver BC. What began as a group of dedicated firefighters in 2008 as Engines for El Salvador, then became Firefighters Without Borders BC and finally FWB Canada. The mission of the group is to collect outdated firefighting apparatus and equipment and donate it to countries where there is a need. Read more
March 22, 2012 - Donated equipment has made it to the Kinshasa Fire Service (Democratic Republic of the Congo).
In July 2009 Firefighters Without Borders Canada responded to a request for assistance from the Kinshasa Fire Department serving the capital city of Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). In early 2010, 2 boxes of equipment were loaded onto a shipping container organized by the Rotary World Help Network bound for the DRC.. Read more

On March 29th, 2012 it was announced that Honorary Consul of El Salvador, Jeffrey Rodd Moore will be one of a select few Canadians to be recognized for their service through the awarding of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. Read more
